MAD DAWGS 2009 HIGHLIGHTS

8/1/09 Bearcats Gridiron Game at Nippert Stadium - Mad Dawgs 22 Maderia 0

This preview game featured a 40 minute running clock. The Mad Dawgs were excited to be in Nippert Stadium and played a good game.

8-8-09 "Chik Fil A Bowl" Hilltop Hawks 44 Mad Dawgs 0

Our Mad Dawgs lacked the intensity for this early season game versus the high octane Hilltop Hawks. This is why you play the game though, so you can get better. We will get better and be intense next time. Congratulations to Hilltop.

2009 Scrimmages: Batavia, Loveland, & Anderson Youth

8-22-09 League Game - Mad Dawgs 22 Delhi 0

First league game of the season and the Mad Dawgs defense came out not willing to let Delhi move the ball. The offense matched the defenses intensity, bringing home the 1st league victory of the season.

8-27-09 Non-League Game - Indian Hill 20 Mad Dawgs 12

Thanks Indian Hill for the game. This game consisted of our 2nd string versus Indian Hill's 2nd string for the first two quarters. Then we switched and went with our starters versus their starters for two quarters. Great effort everyone this day.

11-7-09 PLAYOFFS: The #1 seed and undefeated Mad Dawgs pounded the Harrison Wildcats 28-0. This last victory gives us our coveted ticket to the SOYFAI Super Bowl on November 15th at Wyoming High School. All (23) Mad Dawgs played this day, and it was truly a team effort. Way to go boys, we are all very privileged to watch the efforts you display each and every week.

11-15-09 SUPER BOWL: The #1 seed and undefeated Mad Dawgs took on the always tough Colerain Little Cards. For Colerain this was their third trip to the Super Bowl, while the Mad Dawgs were rookies. Colerain scored early pounding the football. The Mad Daawgs answered quickly. With the game tied 8 to 8, the Little Cards kept punding the ball. The Mad Dawgs got a stop and later came back to add another 8 points on the board. Late in the game Colerain still pounding the ball made a game tying drive to force the game into overtime. In overtime Colerain had the ball first and scored, but were denied by the Mad Dawgs on the 2 point conversion. It was now the Mad Dawgs time to answer and they did. On the ensuing 2 point conversion Sean Scaheffer cut it back to take the Mad Dawgs onto victory. Final score 24-22 Mad Dawgs. A dominating 11-0-1 season by the Mad Dawgs, capped off with a Super Bowl Championship.
